This excursion combines the very best of Crete – turquoise waters, charming towns, and ancient history.
The cruise departs from the port of Agios Nikolaos to Spinalonga Island, located just off the coast in the Aegean Sea. Despite its small size, the island has a rich history – for centuries it served as a Venetian fortress.
Next, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch on board. After the meal, the cruise continues towards Kolokytha Beach, where those who wish can take a refreshing dip in the turquoise waters of the bay.
Next, you’ll visit the delightful town of Agios Nikolaos. Strolling through its narrow streets, stopping by cafés, and admiring the bay views make this a truly charming experience. Here, you’ll also see Lake Voulismeni, a place surrounded by myths and legends. Locals believe the lake has no bottom and say that the goddess Athena once bathed in its waters.
The excursion concludes with a visit to the family-run Olive Oil Factory. You’ll learn how olive oil is produced, discover the secrets of its quality, and have the opportunity to taste and purchase local delicacies straight from the producers.
Please note that the order of visits and the program may be subject to change.
