Program Description

Discover the history and picturesque landscapes of Scotland on a full-day tour from Edinburgh. From a royal castle and the peaceful shores of Loch Lomond to the monumental Kelpies, this journey combines diverse scenery with some of the most iconic sights in this part of the country.

After leaving Edinburgh, you will travel to Stirling Castle, one of Scotland’s most important historic landmarks. Spend approximately 2 hours exploring this former royal residence, closely associated with figures such as Mary, Queen of Scots. Discover the restored Great Hall and Royal Apartments, and admire sweeping views of the surrounding countryside from the hilltop castle.

Next, continue to Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, where you will stop in the picturesque village of Luss. During your free time, take a stroll along the shores of Loch Lomond, admire the village’s charming cottages, browse local shops or stop for lunch.

You can also enhance your time in Luss with one of the optional experiences available at an additional cost. Take a 90-minute cruise on Loch Lomond and admire views of the surrounding mountains and islands, or visit a nearby distillery visitor centre, where optional whisky or gin tastings are available. These additional experiences can be booked on the day.

On the return journey, stop at the famous The Kelpies – two monumental steel horse sculptures standing approximately 30 metres tall. Inspired by Scotland’s industrial heritage and legendary water spirits, they have become one of the country’s most recognisable contemporary landmarks and provide a fantastic setting for photos.

After a full day of sightseeing, you will return to Edinburgh, arriving in the evening.

The order of the itinerary and the programme may be subject to change.
