Program Description

Sunset over volcanic landscapes, views of neighbouring islands and a star-filled sky - an evening trip to Mount Teide is a wonderful opportunity to see Spain's highest peak in a spectacular setting. You'll take a cable car ride up the volcano, explore a mountain trail, enjoy a picnic and discover the mysteries of the night sky during an astronomical observation experience.

Teide National Park, recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of Tenerife's most iconic destinations. At its heart stands Mount Teide, rising to 3,718 metres. The surrounding landscape features vast fields of solidified lava, craters and rocky formations that take on warm, golden shades as the sun begins to set.

Your adventure will begin with a cable car ride up Mount Teide, offering panoramic views of the mountains and volcanic scenery. Afterwards, accompanied by a guide, you'll set off on a hike towards the Pico Viejo viewpoint. Along the way, you'll explore landscapes shaped by past volcanic activity and have the opportunity to admire the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.

One of the most remarkable sights is Mount Teide's shadow, which, under favourable conditions, stretches far across the ocean, even towards Gran Canaria. Combined with the colours of the setting sun, it creates a spectacular panorama.

The trip also includes a picnic surrounded by mountain scenery. It's a lovely opportunity to relax, enjoy a meal and soak up the atmosphere of this extraordinary location.

After dark, the next part of your adventure begins - stargazing at Mount Teide. Thanks to its location far from city lights, the area around the volcano offers excellent conditions for observing the night sky. Accompanied by a guide, you'll discover fascinating astronomical facts and learn more about the celestial objects visible above Tenerife. You'll also have the opportunity to use astronomical telescopes to take a closer look at selected objects in space. Their visibility depends on weather and astronomical conditions.

An evening trip to Mount Teide combines volcanic landscapes, a stunning sunset, a picnic and the fascinating world of astronomy. It's an opportunity to experience the changing scenery of Spain's highest peak, from the last rays of sunshine to a sky filled with stars.
